  I loved, still love Hunter Thompson.

He was from the land of Paul the Fool and Moscow Mitch whose entire offices are made from coal and aluminum, their entire political life as well.

From what I have gathered reading interviews or just statements made by himself and a few of his childhood buddies, Kentucky didn't really like him much. 

I think he only wrote (or published) once about it, Kentucky I mean, was when he and Ralph Steadman covered the Kentucky Derby for Rolling Stone magazine. If you haven't read that, well why not?

          Hunter committed suicide and I think it was just a matter of the greedy bastard always doing whatever he wanted to as fucking much as excruciatingly possible. He was a true psychonaut, he had gone all the way in, he did not like who he was...or so it seemed to me..but he knew himself well, which is both really bad and absolutely paradisical if you get it, exactly who you are and your true value.
  Demonstrating a level of insanity hard to imagine he filmed while building his own tomb, marked by a hundred-foot-tall six-finger fisted (two thumbs) clutching a peyote button at the end of a human forearm. 

Sometime after completing and showing it off to any and all the other fucking maniacs he entertained up in the mountains there he went and he shot himself in the head with as big a magnum pistol as he had.

How to deeply instruct civil justice. 

The coal is no more, it turned out to be a short-term solution, maybe it wasn't as good an idea as they first thought??? despite the prolonged damaging effects burning it does the air, water and working men's souls the fuel itself has powered, warmed and lighted our world for centuries, but money, the love of wealth has been too expensive, we should be using coal to find something better.. what becomes of the entire people of the area that dug it? Any social services for them? Well, it's expensive for those things, taxpayers don't want it, you can't blame the mega-billionaire mine owners, they already paid the workers, they don't have to again? It's their mine and they can close it if they want and call your mother for help, not them.

 Having a government that does what most of us want it to do?

Lawsuits? Outspend the tycoons on attorneys and you might have a chance, and while you are litigating, they are tearing down your mountains. That's how they beat the unions. The rank and file are now huge machines that tear down the mountain getting at the coal and they are cheap compared to Workmans' Compensation or people wanting money for their labor.

                           How about a trip up to and over the beautiful Khyber Pass, from Pakistan to Afghanistan, and the chance to meet some of the sweetest, honest and interesting, intelligent, hospitable people that walk the planet.
They used to greet us as travelers and greeted all visitors to their villages, towns with tea, and the total hospitality of their homes.
