photo is 1972, now it is 2022
he is not dead
but
he is old

Mr. David Bromberg is on the spinner this am, lets's hear his rendition of "Sweet Home, Chicago" ... I know he still plays but, what he also DOES, is build guitars now, very nice guitars, up there in Woodstock where the Band and Dylan had Big Pink to play in, we had that big party there in 69, yeah.   David can just flat play the blues, no shit, he worked for a while in Jerry Jeff Walkers band TOO, I heard from somewhere, the pedigree of the champs, he has it, he didn't like all the foo fa raw involved in the music biz I bet, and he split. I do not know the whole thing about exactly why he slipped a little on the road, I don't know him, never met him,but I think I'd like him, I will go hear him again if I get the chance

He can just flat play the blues, finest kind, no shit, blues, always real good he is, a luthier today but, for me, I will be in The Great American Music Hall listening to him and John Firmin, all the others from the genre we got which is unnamable. so far...call it Americana and I don't know about all that, He could be Ichabod returned, going bowling in the mountains, then he and his band just blow the fucking roof off the joint.

I wasn't there the night they recorded "How Late'll you Play Till?" but I was at a couple of other shows he did there, on good old O'Farrell Streets then down Polk, next door to the Mitchell Brothers mad dog palace of sexual frustration, looking no touching, Hunter worked in there then, or played cards, rumordly.

What a fucking hot band, live. Just smoking....

I forgot the cross street, my life as a cab driver is over.....I drove one in Santa Rosa, never the City, cabs I mean, cabs.

Look here, new stuff on youtube music for me by him.

My life is honestly influenced by dependence on my youtube music account, I tell it what to do and it does it, play anything and it looks it up and puts it on. This is great for an old fuck like me.

The guy in charge over there is to be commended.

Rock and roll are still eating my soul

Fuckin' A

work day,

adios
