I am American.

Born in the good ol' USA, I have nothing to bitch about that concerns my personal physical well being, mentally I remain healthy and unbalanced. You can find me leaning towards lazy and well-fed, as well-fed as an American motherfucker can be... That makes me lucky because I have lived my life in a country that most, generally speaking, wants to be known as fair and good to its people. Plenty of other places on the planet occupied by humans have good government generally speaking too, I know.

 Plenty don't, plenty of us get stuck with oppressive repressive regime style officialdom and it can turn really bad there really fucking fast. We got cities, towns like that here, a couple of states kind of like it, but not many, and they are generally kept pretty quiet by our federal civil rights and voting rights laws.

I have friends up here now, redneck loggers, truck drivers, gas station attendants, warehouse workers,  landscapers, farmers, electricians, carpenters, junk collectors, and homeless wandering winos that bum change and cigarettes from me at work, car salespeople, dog people, non-dog people, lawyers and bartenders, and cooks...

                                                

They do not, or did not, know the difference between the constitution, the bill of rights, and Louisa May Alcott and before Flaphead, they were basically apolitical.

Not so much anymore. People are looking around, thinking too. One of the biggest reasons America came out and voted was the working class that used to be the middle class came together and threw Trumpism the fuck out and good fucking riddance.

They gave him a shot because he can apparently hustle almost anyone

 They know they are getting screwed. They can feel it. They give up what they actually "know" about it carefully, kind of suspiciously as if maybe they're not entirely sure....but they know the game is rigged and they are being pushed around and have to accept shit that affects them that they didn't ask for and maybe don't want anyway and, most often, "no one listens anyway and you can't change anything anyway, they're gonna do what they want anyway."  They distrust big business, the homeless, politics, the media, the government, China, Mexico. I have never heard anyone say anything like communism is going to come here in bucket trucks and kill everyone that won't fit in or I ain't takin' orders from no nigger jew boy commies" ...or Mexicans either. Nope. Never. Are these guys redneck racist killer militia guys? No. They are not. They are working guys with families who want regular and better shit for themselves and their people, they... we..... are regular people.

They are struggling,  the idea that shit was better before there were Democrats? Mostly they do not know what the party platform of the demented Democrat Party is and could give a fuck either. Most surprising to me, of all of it, was how they absolutely fell into the clutches of the Teabag Republican Party of Amerika as they know as little about them as they do the other guys. They wanted Trump to win so they could win some, too. They believed he cared about them and was going to save them from something and regarded me with deep deep suspicion, some of them, for telling them who he really is. 

I seldom hear anyone here blaming "immigrants" for job loss or anything else either. Hard work is respected and up here the "immigrants" are working motherfuckers. What I do hear is anger about welfare going to people who they don't think deserve it. We sell a lot of crappy food to people On The Dole.

Yesterday- as I walked into the store attached to the gas station where I pump the gas -the cashier had one of the various right-winged political discourse maniac attack radio stations tuned in. I don't know which one but I heard the now tired out rant of "Hunter Biden is the personal agent of Methusela and will cut up and eat your babies for dinner with Michael Moore, you'll see. It's all on the laptop he abandoned where Rudy hypnotized him and then told him to leave it with Sam the computer guy."

The new guy on the register told me, "Joe is going to die, Kamala will take over, she gets whatever is left of Joe's term then two more. It's all set up. She's a Socialist" I like this guy, he's a bona fide knucklehead like me, so it's fun to argue, see how mad we can make each other. Maybe a little dangerous but no one would die if it went there. I said, "Whats Socialism?" He said, "you are an old dumbass hippie...."......

I have a radio too, it's a typical one of today, my cell phone connected to Sirius then it sends it to a speaker no more than sixty feet away, you know? I listen to the news and Dan Abrams 

Tom Petty's great Buried Treasure show on Sirius. The Grateful Dead Channel,( I monitor this one, when regulars approach I may turn it down so they don't know just how utterly lost and fucked up I really am.)

 Anyways, I bit.."Yeah? Where'd you hear that"

I am from California, a state that has gone to hell.

I came up here for some gone to heaven time experience.

Pioneers of the prairie left many descendants up here, of course.  The descendants feel the same way about what governments are doing to instead of for us. Like me, exactly like me, they do not understand why the "officials" don't get fired when they fuck up. We, they and I, only differ on programs to be supported, laws made, and laws unmade, mostly in particular. We disagree on theoretical issues of personal responsibility but not empathy. We don't like a whole bunch of the same shit and agree it is wrong.

The touchy most touchy issue I think is still everyone's varying degree of perceived persecution. Who is not getting their share and who is getting one they don't deserve, hey now!!  I have told them the truth as I see it, no one has shot me yet. I have been designated as a liberal a couple of times but I deny it and claim libertarian anarchy as my code and they go think about that, or they don't because who gives a fuck what I think or am?"After I get gas I gotta pick up the beer and burger buns on my way home. Fuck him, dumbass old hippie." Then, some of them, go think and come back and argue.

It's an education thing. I'm grown, my friends are still learning.
